Botany Medical Centre accepts both appointment and walk in patients. We offer online bookings through Health Engine, or alternatively you can ring (02) 9700 1115 for an appointment. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and GP. Appointments are 7 days a week, from 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 3pm Saturday and Sunday and public holidays.

Longer consultation times are available, as well as appointments to see one of our friendly nurses for other services, such as immunisations. Please ask our receptionists if you require some extra time in consult.

We also offer an interpreting service. Please inform us prior to your appointment so we can arrange this service for you! Online bookings can be made via Health Engine! Simply download the app on your phone and register, and book online with one of our doctors at a time that suits you.

NOTE: Emergency appointments will always be given priority. Complex medical problems and urgent cases may delay the scheduled appointments. In these circumstances your patience is appreciated.

Bulk Billing

If you hold a valid Medicare card, we offer bulk billing for eligible procedures. That means no out-of-pocket costs for most general visits.

For patients without Medicare, our fees are $65 for a standard consultation and $100 for a long consultation, Monday to Friday, and $75 for a standard consultation and $120 for a long consultation on Saturday and Sunday”. We can only accept cash payments only at this stage.

Please note: Medicare eligibility is checked when a patient comes in to the practice for their appointment. If for any reason you do not pass the eligibility screening, you will be charged as a private patient and will be required to pay cash before you see the doctor. You can then claim a partial refund from Medicare.

NOTE : We are a Bulk Billing Practice. We accept Medicare card on all 7 days a week including public holidays. The private fee is incurred for non – Medicare card holders.

Full Practice Fees

If you are unable to provide your Medicare card or the information on it, you will be charged a practice fee. However, you can receive a partial refund from a Medicare office.

We currently do not offer on the spot rebates, and all fees must be paid in cash BEFORE you see the doctor. A receipt will be given to you once the consult has been finalised.

We also charge practice fees on your consultation day for overseas visitors, work injury patients, CTP claims and expired Medicare cardholders.
